AJA Plugins on MacOS

Hi,

I work for AJA Video Systems tech support. I’m working a case where the customer would like to install GStreamer on MacOS AND use our hardware with the aja plugins from the bad plugin collection.

I’m looking through the install instructions for MacOS and it appears that I need to manually build or extract the plugins from a compiled download. I looked into the homebrew method and it (as stated on the website) does not include the aja plugins.

Any guidance on the correct or preferred method would be appreciated.

Currently the plugin is only supported on Linux. Someone would have to add the build system integration for macOS, and update any Linux-only API usage (if any). Can you create an issue in gitlab for that?

For your actual question, you either need to build it yourself with cerbero or homebrew, or use the binaries provided on the GStreamer website.
