Python custom plugin

I was wondering if gstreamer allows for custom plugins to be created in python, as I’ve followed the steps that are attached in the picture and I cannot get the plugin to be recognized. I have also attached my code in case I am doing anything wrong

Thanks for pointing that out. It turns out that the issue is not 1.24-specific. This discussion provides some hints, and setting PYTHONPATH=/usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/ seems to resolve the issue.

After trying the steps above and installing the python plugin loader I get this issue. My code is attached at the top of the discussion
